First off, big apologies for the background noise. It's courtesy of my two little furry helpers. These two go a little nuts every time I record because they can't figure out who I'm talking to! Next week the squeaky toys are put up before the mic goes on!!!
This week, I found out that John 1 (like ogres and onions) has layers!
Here's some of the scriptures/sources that helped me figure it out:

The 5 Testimonies in John in 1:
1. John the Baptist (Part 1 and Part 2)
John 1:29 "The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world"
John 1:34 "And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God."
2. "Two of his disciples"
John 1:36 "Behold the Lamb of God!"
3. Andrew, Simon Peter's brother
John 1:41 "We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ."
4. Philip
John 1:45 "We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph."
5. Nathanael
John 1:49 " Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel."
Truths I found in John's opening testimony of Christ (John 1:1-18)
- Jesus was with God and of God (v. 1)
- Jesus was there from the beginning (v.2)
- All things were made by Him (v.3)
- From the beginning He has represented life and light (v.4)
- Jesus lights every person in the world (v.9)
- He came to the world that He made and they didn't recognize Him (v.10)
- He came to His own people and they didn't recognize Him (v.11)
- If we believe and follow Christ, we have the power to become sons and daughters of God (v.12)
- We are able to be born again through God (v.13)
- Christ became mortal and dwelt on earth with us (v.14)
- The law was given through Moses, but light and life came through Jesus Christ (JST v.17)
- Law = death, but the gospel represents eternal life through Jesus Christ (JST 18)
- No man has seen God, except He has borne record of the son (JST 19)
- No one can be saved without Jesus (JST 19)
This is the book that has the story about the woman persevering through mental illness to get to Church:
